“Crescendo Bendo Community Music Day” on June 2 at the Tower Theatre is almost here! This important event celebrates a year of exceptional music growth and work for many of our students. You will soon be seeing posters around the school, around town, and all over the place promoting this huge fun day of music at the Tower.
Sponsors this year include Central Oregon Radiology Associates, Big Foot Beverages, The Source Weekly and Bend Nest.
“Crescendo Bendo” features eight separate concerts in one day. The day begins at 9:00am, and we finish around 11:00pm with over 200 students participating throughout the day. Even if you/your student are not performing this particular year, you are warmly invited to come be inspired and encouraged in your own music learning.
Jazz Vocal Solos
Michelle Van Handel and her Jazz Vocal Solos class is scheduled to play at the Astro Lounge on June 5 at 6:00P.M. All ages welcome until 8:00P.M.
We are doing LATIN JAZZ tunes made popular by artists such Tom Jobim, Astrud, Brasil 66
Songs like Wave, Quando Quando Quando, Quiet Night of Quiet Stars (Corcovado), Sway, Agua De Beber, One Note Samba & More!
It will be a fun night of energetic music!

The Twilight Tunes summer concert series is back!
Summer/Time Hosted by Becky Smith of CSM
This concert represents a unique collaboration between multi-talented musicians weaving their expertise into rich juxtapositions. Harpist Kim Robertson is internationally known and her music crosses categories while keeping one foot firmly in Celtic tradition. Gayle Neuman plays vielle (violin), sings, and also plays and makes historical double reed instruments. Phil Neuman plays recorder, sackbutt (trombone), various other wind and string instruments, and co-directs the Oregon Renaissance band. Both Neumans are well-known throughout the world for their extensive knowledge of early music, Sumerian through Victorian. They have even been in the movies!

Come see the all of the Rock U bands perform at Worthy Brewing this Thursday, the 21st! The performances will run from 6:00-9:00 PM.

April Private Study Recital
Our monthly Private Study Recital for April will be held Sunday, April
15th, and starts at 1:30 P.M. Performances include piano students,
strings students, our Irish band, and more! Friends and family of
students are welcome to attend.
We will be
hosting a piano competition for our students on Saturday, April 21st.
There will be two age groups, and students in each group will compete
for a scholarship award. Friends and family are welcome.
Rock U Concert at Broken Top Bottle Shop
Three rock bands will perform at Broken Top Bottle Shop on Thursday,
April 21st. The bands that will perform are Fearsome, Chilly Thursdays
and Gen 17.
Drum Day May 2018
Join us for another fantastic Drum Day! Students will perform a
variety of songs from the 70's alongside Company Grand! Friends and
family are welcome to attend.
CSM on KPOV's Center Stage
Cascade School of Music is participating in KPOV’s Membership Drive and will be featured on Center Stage this Saturday, April 28th, between 2:00 and 4:00pm. Our monthly private study recital will be on Sunday, March 11th, at 1:30

Leaves of Luck at Dudley's and McMenamins
Leaves of Luck, the Irish band at the Cascade School of Music, will
perform at two different venues on Saturday, March 17th. The first
performance will be at Dudley's from 3:00 - 4:00, and afterwards at
McMenamins at 6:30, where they will perform with 5 Pint Mary.
Piano Student Showcase at Touchmark
Piano students will be performing at Touchmark Memory Care on Saturday, March 24th, at 3:00 P.M. This event is free to attend, and family and friends are welcome.

Community Pints at Deschutes Brewery
Our gracious community partner the Deschutes Brewery is hosting a "Community Pints" series in October that will benefit Cascade School of Music! Each Tuesday in October the Brewery will donate $1 for every pint of beer sold to the school, some come on down and hoist one for Cascade School of Music!

Sweet Jubilation Adult Ensemble Concert
On Thursday, December 10th, at 7:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church, 61980 Skyline Ranch Road, Bend, Cascade School of Music presents “Sweet Jubilation” a program of tasty musical morsels.
Under the direction of Rebecca Smith and Julia Bastuscheck of the Cascade School of Music, four groups will collaborate bringing you popular music gathered from across the centuries from the middle-ages to the present. The ArpeggiEight Harp Ensemble, Cascade Pops Orchestra, Renaissance Sisters Recorder Ensemble and Central Oregon Recorder Consort will all contribute to the evening. Performers for this concert range in age from 10 to nearly 80.
In lieu of admission, donations are requested. Donations will benefit the Family Access Network (FAN) and the tuition assistance programs for Cascade School of Music.
Come and let the music fill you with warmth and happiness!
A holiday tradition! Join us in the Father Luke's Room at McMenamins for a swinging evening of holiday music with three great jazz singers and a terrific all-star band. Rock U Concert
Cascade School of Music’s Rock University, aka “Rock U”, will perform its first show of the 2015-2016 school year on December 15th at the 2nd Street Theater in Bend under the direction of the schools rock advisor, Aaron Pugh. Three bands with kids ranging in age from 11 – 16, and with varying levels of experience, will perform music by a variety of artists from Elton John to Rush. The show starts at 6:30 – no cover.
