Private Lesson Information

Individual instrumental and vocal instruction is available at the Cascade School of Music. Individual lessons are a traditional mainstay of music education. They afford the student an opportunity to progress at their own pace and to study the music to which they are most attracted. Our teachers can also focus on technique issues and each individual's learning styles. 

Typically, individual lessons are 30 minutes once per week. Some teachers prefer lessons of a different length, and advanced students often take full-hour lessons.

Individual instruction is available on piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, bass, saxophone, clarinet, flute, voice, drums, harp, trombone, tuba, euphonium, and trumpet. Faculty availability varies; please call the school for current openings.

The cost for individual weekly lessons is $27.00 or 30 minutes, $38.00 for 45 minutes, and $50.00 for 60 minutes. You can pay in person or over the phone.  Payment for the week must be received in the office prior to the beginning of lesson. There are limited merit-based scholarships available for youth; call the office for an audition.

Private Lesson Policies

All lessons must be paid for in advance of the lesson. Cancellations with 24-hour notice will not be charged.  Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice forfeit tuition for that lesson. In the event there are no pre-paid lessons to forfeit, student will be billed and no further lessons will be scheduled until the balance is cleared.
