Dear CSM Students and Parents,
The CSM Faculty, Staff, and I are very much looking forward to fully reopening our school once it is safe and possible to do so. Following last week's Executive Order from Governor Brown, our school is to remain closed until June 30.
We certainly understand the importance of music in our daily lives, especially during this time. Our online music lessons and classes will continue to be offered, and we are currently planning to resume in-person lessons and classes on July 1.
The State of Oregon has provided permission and guidance for School Aged Summertime Day Camps to begin June 1, so we are working with our partners to provide our music camps at off-site and outdoor locations. We will be sending out further information in the coming weeks.
Our recent CSM's Got Talent Competition was truly exciting and inspiring. We received 49 submissions, involving 58 students of all ages, and our panel of 9 judges awarded 11 tuition and cash awards worth over $10,000. In addition, and in recognition of the hard work put into every student submission, all students who did not win a main prize, were awarded $100 in tuition credit.
My personal thanks to Gary & Judy Heck, Kip & Bev Gladder, and Maggie Jackson for graciously supporting our CSM's Got Talent Awards.
These are unique times for all of us, but I remain confident in our school's future and in the power of music to enrich our souls.
Thank you for your support!
Robert Lambeth, Executive Director
