Singing and sharing her love of music (perhaps with a guitar in hand) and being with families and their young children makes teaching Kindermusik a dream for Tami Corbin, “Miss Tami”.
Along with a teaching degree in Early Childhood Special Education and a background working with special needs children (ages birth through 5 years), Tami brings 25 years of experience to Cascade School of Music and is excited to share how music positively impacts children during these critical first years. In addition, she has witnessed how music significantly supports areas of challenge for young children, encouraging language, social, cognitive, self-help, and motor skill development.
She is happy to be an additional resource for families with questions regarding how to help their children grow and learn, using music to bring joy into the process! Tami has creatively integrated music throughout her teaching years in her classroom and with families in their homes. Most importantly, she strives to help adults learn that it is having fun with music that is contagious and creates a love for music; a perfect pitch singing voice is not required! It is that initial love for music that lays the foundation for lifelong music learning.
Tami is an active member of "ZERO to THREE" and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
